Safari Club – Chipo Musandi operates Nkhota-kota Pottery Lodge which offers 28 rooms in different categories, a camping ground with upmarket facilities, as well as a conference hall. In addition, there is an artistic pottery where interested visitors can try their pottery skills. They would like to develop a “Tourist Information Center”. The tourist information center will be a valuable companion for travelers in and about Nkhota-kota District. The information center will provide specific information about the local area, its attractions, events, facilities and services. The information center will also act as a data collection mechanism that facilitates the gathering of tourist data that would further inform a tourist plan for operational businesses in the area.

The founders of Nkhota-Kota have noticed that locals where unaware information on the tourist attractions and holiday options Nkhota-Kota had to offer. The Tourist Information Center (TIC) serves as complete guide of information about the community. The type of information on the TIC includes: Accommodation options, Cultural attractions, foreign visitor interpreters, Health services, attractions and entertainment etc.

Nkhota-Kota TIC makes it easy for travelers to get reliable answers to their questions and provides an excellent opportunity to “sell” the areas’s attractions. Attached to the TIC will be an up-market coffee shop that will offer a clean ablution facility between the 500km stretch from Mzuzu to Lilongwe. The shop will also feature a show room with specific items from the pottery lodge.
